Mercedes Benz G-Class G65 AMG
Started from the idea of a perfect military vehicle a great model began his way in history in 1972.
After rigorous testing in almost all condition, the production of this special model started in 1979 in Graz Austria under the name of â€œG-Wagenâ€
In 1981 the model receives some upgrades such as automatic transmission, air conditioning and protective headlights covers. After 5 years in 1986 Mercedes celebrates 50.000 units sold.
Mercedes G-Wagen W463In 1989 Mercedes Benz celebrates 10 years of G-Wagen hitting the market with the model that was equipped with permanent AWD (all wheel drive) also known as 4x4 and three electric locking differentials that manages to face all kinds of terrains and situations. The interior receives a big upgrade that consists in leather seats and wooden finishes. In 1994 the model was officially renamed receiving the G-Class name.
By passing the time G-Class model suffered various small modifications in order to reach the status of the perfect car. However in 2012 Mercedes launches Mercedes Benz G-Class G65 AMG.
The G 65 AMG is powered by an 6.0 liters engine V12 Bi-Turbo that produces 450 kW (612 hp) and a torque of 1000 Nm, power is delivered on the road using a 7-speed automatic gearbox. Also the new G65 it is an AWD (all wheel drive) body-on-frame with 50-50 traction ratio (50% front wheels, 50% rear wheels)
